Privacy Policy

What we collect

NilaMap is browseable without an account — you don't identify yourself to read prices. We collect personal data only when you give it to us:

• Waitlist: your email address, and an optional role (buyer, agent, or investor) so we understand who we're building for.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and message.

We also collect standard, privacy-respecting analytics — pages viewed, approximate region inferred from your IP (we don't store a precise location), and page-performance metrics — to understand usage. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots, which briefly processes your IP and browser signals for that check only.

How we use it, and our basis for it

To run and improve the product, to reply to you, to tell you when coverage reaches your area if you asked, and to keep the service secure. We process the data you submit on the basis of your consent — given when you send a form — and you can withdraw that consent at any time (see Your rights). We don't sell personal data, and we don't email you anything you didn't ask for.

Property data

The prices on NilaMap come from official NAPIC/JPPH public transaction records. For each development we show individual completed sales — month, size, floor, price, and price per sq ft — but never names, identity-card numbers, lot numbers, or unit numbers. These are records of property transactions, not personal data we collect about you as a visitor.

Analytics & cookies

We use PostHog for product analytics and Cloudflare for traffic and performance measurement, both configured to be privacy-respecting. We set only the cookies needed to run the site and understand usage — no advertising cookies, and we never sell data to advertisers.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to operate NilaMap, under contract, and only for the purposes above:

• Cloudflare — hosting, our leads database, bot protection (Turnstile), and transactional email.
• PostHog — product analytics.

We don't share your personal data with anyone else, and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

We keep the email and contact details you give us only as long as we need them for the purpose you gave them for — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until they're no longer needed. Analytics are retained in aggregate.

Your rights

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data you gave us, unsubscribe from any email, or withdraw your consent — and you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner. To exercise any of these, email us below and we'll action it.
